I just thought of a fantastic concept for a comic series…

A man is involved in an experiment to send him back in time to (for argument’s sake) the dark ages. However, as he passes through, the opening in space time begins to collapse. One of the enterprising young engineers on the other side has an idea - just before it closes completely, he manages to jam a piece of copper pipe through the remaining hole, keeping it open. Until they can figure out how to widen the hole again, the man must survive in the middle ages using only technology and items which will fit through the pipe - for example a USB cable to charge whatever electronic items he had on him at the time.

At one point he might have been challenged to a duel or joust with a much larger man than him - when he tells his colleagues this, they poke through some bullets and a copy of the improvised munitions handbook.
